Company Telephone system and MagicJack?
is there a way to use many magicjack on a single computer and make it work like a telephone system... like in busisness... call transfer extensions, call on hold, main voice mail service saved on the computer, Video conferencing, and so???
Some folks here have been able to get two magicJacks to work on the same PC. With some effort, you might do four or five; a large number is not possible because each Jack makes heavy use of machine resources.
IMO, MJ is not yet reliable enough for business purposes, except possibly for outbound only calling, with a more expensive provider serving as a backup.
One couldn't add the functions you mentioned without violating the TOS.
However, there are software switches, e.g. Asterisk, that have the features you desire and permit many phones to be served by one PC. There is no technical problem using such a system with multiple MJ accounts, but that is also not within the TOS. If many accounts were involved, you could try contacting YMAX; they may be willing to provide your service for an agreeable price.
