Will MagicJack help Deaf People????

Post by ohioan »

Hello! I would like to tell you that I am Deaf. I dont know if you ever heard of Relay Service. You will see website at
www.ip-relay.com The problem is that I am living in Israel. it can detect that I am outside of USA and refused to assist me. So I thought that MagicJack may be a solution. As you all know that MagicJack has only one socket for regular phone. My problem is that I need to use video to use sign language. IP Camera may be good but the cable wont fit it. regular phone is not what I want because I CAN NOT hear. I know I can use fax machine. But sometimes I need to talk.

Does anyone have the solution to this complex problem? Help me PLEASE..... No sympathy PLEASE...

Thank you...

magicJack will not help you, I'm afraid, as I doubt the MJ line would support the modulation requirement of a TTY/TTD systems. If you're looking to do video relay, it would be wise to consider something besides MJ. If you're using a Video over phone option, the MJ line will still not support the modulation of the video over phone line devices either. MJ lines will barely support a fax at very low speeds, even if at all.
There are several Video Relay services out there that will do what you want, and you wouldn't use magicJack for that, you would use your internet connection as you do now.
