Every time I do a pc restart, magicJack asks for my registration information. Is this data not saved so magicJack can rely on it the next time it starts up?
Also, how do I stop magicJack from auto-starting? I have created a seperate shortcut and specfic spoof file which I would rather run, instead of getting the open dialog, etc.
Thanks.
magicJack asking for registration every restart

To stop MJ from autostarting when you insert the device, disable autorun (globally, or for the MJ pseudo CD-ROM).
To stop MJ from autostarting when the device is present upon reboot, disable cdloader2 from running.
If you run magicjack.exe directly from a shortcut, you must configure the Target with proper command line parameters; search this forum for details.
I don't know why it's asking you to register each time; perhaps it's unable to update the USB disk drive. If you are using a shortcut to magicjack.exe, try pointing _magicJackPersonalDataRoot to a folder on your hard drive, e.g. C:\magicJack .
Note that when you do the above you won't get automatic updates. If you miss a critical one, your MJ service may cease to function. Be sure that you have a reliable alternate means of making an emergency call.
