Bb_blues,
Would you expand on terrible just a little. Do you mean out going, incoming, garbled, low volume or all of the above.
Pete Moss,
The low volume on the receiving end is a well known problem. And I have heard all kinds of claims how to fix it and the only one that I think I believe might have worked is some guy added a telephone audio amplifier.
Stewart, one of the system administrators has a fix, but I don't know if he has been allowed to release it. But if he doesn't jump into this thread I would sure recommend you PM him and see what he has to say about this problem.
There is a fellow on here that had one that did as yours with the low transmit volume. He tired everything under the sun to fix it with no luck. He was kind enough to send it to me to take a look at and see if I could figure out what was going on (or not). But yup you guessed it when it got here it worked fine and actually according to one listener worked better than my own (which don't have any problems). So I couldn't fix something that wasn't broke so I just sent it back to him. I have not heard anything from him so I don't know if he has received it yet. I am very curious to see if it now works for him, my thoughts being something intermittent or a small cat whisker short that was dislodged during shipping ???
