MJ doesn't take pin or access codes

Post by shallikeepmj »

Is there any solution for this other than using softphone? MJ doesn't seem to take any numbers correctly during a connected call, like vm access codes, calling card pins, etc.
This is the only drawback I see in MJ so far!

I use a dedicated, always on, old Dell Optiplex (1ghz) and remote desktop to it when needed.

Thanks.

Stewart pointed out something recently, I hadn't realized... but you can also enter the numbers from the keyboard. Probably not the solution you were looking for, but I'm an avid fan and didn't know about it until it was brought to my attention.

FWIW: I believe I read somewhere the keypad input error(s) is a known issue.

I use a Uniden DECT 6.0 cordless phone with my MJ and never had any problems dialing calling card pins, responses to automated voice (like in credit card related calls) etc.

I use a crap-shit Ratshack Presidian cordless phone and have no troubles at all in entering pin numbers or whatever I need to enter after the call is made.

My sis & I have the same problem with 2 different phones on 2 different MJ ATAs. We use the keyboard after dailing with the phone keypad.
