can't receive local phone calls from 915 to mj local 915 are
I hope that somebody out there has more smart then the mj tech support. When I got mj a couple of weeks ago, they didn't have my local 915 area code available. So I had to select 210 which is san antonio. Today I checked mj web site and I findout that 915 is active. So I go in and change my number. Now I have a local 915 phone number. My problem is that I can't receive local phone calls from my cell or landline to my mj number. I can receive phone calls from outside my local 915 area code without any problems. I hope somebody out there can help.
cwbuckley,
Give it 24 hours or so for the locals to pick up on your number change or call them (your local phone company) and see if they can expedite putting you in their data base.
Most of the time this sort of thing is just the time it takes for the number update to filter thru to all the carriers and will correct itself in 24 to 48 hours.
So it just depends on which you consider less painful waiting (not my strong suit) or dealing with MJ tech support who probably can't do anything about it anyway.
Good luck which ever way you go but calling the local phone company, you will most likely be talking to someone that speaks the same language you do.
PS - CW, I don't think I have heard of anyone changing their number that they did have to endure a day or so of problems. Actually it may be to late now but one of the best suggestions I have heard on this issue is to transfer your old number to your cell phone before changing it. That way you will still get incoming until everyones database gets caught up.

CW,
I don't know the answer to some of that kind of things, you need someone like "Stewart" he seems to know all the insider stuff about how MJ access the Telcos and why different anomalies happen as they do.
