Phone number from an incoming call or an outgoing call will transpose into the called screen.
Someone calls you - you talk - you hang up - the number of the person calling you is in the call log (see A)
You choose to remove that call from the call log and it goes away but appears then into B
Now, if you don't check (look at) "B" and you try to make a call using your regular phone (I believe the same with the softphone) , you will notice that you won't have a dial tone in order to make that call --- UNTIL you remove that previous number from "B" . After you remove that number, then you can make an outgoing call.
I have no idea if it causes a malfunction on an incoming call or not.
I did a search thru the forum to see if this had been addressed before but found nothing after wading thru quite a many posts.
So, if anyone has any idea how to get around/fix that, I'd like to know.
Number from call log tranposes into the........

Yes, I have the same problem.
When I erase the call log, it puts a phone number in the small window you call B.
And when I pick up the phone there is no dial tone, but if I hang up and then pick up again the
phone number gets erased and goes back to normal and I have a dial tone.
If I forget and don't erase the phone number and a call comes in the phone number automatically
gets erased when the phone rings.
I have got into the habit of checking that when I erase the call log, I just click on the Red End button
and the phone number goes away.
It don't cause a malfunction on incoming calls if there is a number in that slot, at least not when I tested it.
