Outgoing Voice Volume - LOW
When using my Magicjack I can hear people just fine - the voice quality is quite good. But they are having a hard time hearing me. The outbound voice quality from my side seems to be very soft and low. Anything I can do to boost that? Any settings that I may not have configured properly? Let me know what you think - this may be a deal breaker for me. Thanks much.

Re: Outgoing Voice Volume - LOW
I just got mine today and made a few test calls. The calls that were quiet outgoing were definitely related to my laptop being connected to my wireless 54g connection @ home. Once I connected via a cat5 cable, the voice volume increased dramatically...
Does this help you out any?
Thanks,
jt

Let's talk about your system and hardware that you are using so others may help you better.warmcoke wrote:When using my Magicjack I can hear people just fine - the voice quality is quite good. Are you using a USB on your system or as to my understanding a hub; ect?
What type of phone?
You can adjust the mike volume slightly. I had to get a phone UNIDEN which also allowed me to adjust the outgoing volume some. If this is a make it or break it deal; this may take some work. Let us know.

I played around with my cordless phone last night and found a menu option to increase volume on my handset and that seems to have improved my issue with low outbound volume at least to a point. That combined with increasing the volume sliders in sound properties seems to have made my connections 'usable' a this point.
While I would like better - its good for now.

Did you get the upgrade? If not, restarting your MJ should get you a new version that allows a higher mic volume.warmcoke wrote:I played around with my cordless phone last night and found a menu option to increase volume on my handset and that seems to have improved my issue with low outbound volume at least to a point. Yeah - thanks for that Stewart - so I just need to re-boot the PC that the MJ is connected to and I will get the upgraded software? Is there a way to check version number in the app itself?Stewart wrote:Did you get the upgrade?
