Hi Friends,
Being a total Mac guy, I dove into the world of magicJack with little research into the world of XP, but I did know that I wanted to run it on a cheap Windows laptop. I found a 2002 Compaq Presario 700 on CraigsList for $130. Couldnʻt be happier! Turned all of the power settings to their minimum, so it rarely (if ever) spins up the hard drive, and it runs great with the clamshell closed. For me, having a screen right there when I need it is a bonus. Iʻve been happy with the MJ— works as advertised!
Aloha—
Jeff

Google for "Disk on Module" and "Flash to IDE adapter." You can replace your HD with flash. No spin at all.jeffdeponte wrote:Turned all of the power settings to their minimum, so it rarely (if ever) spins up the hard drive,
