Network reset after 10 seconds
Maybe this has already been addressed but I can't seem to find it by doing a search. When I try to use my MJ I get a dial tone and it places the call or receives an incoming call but within 10 to 15 seconds my network connection goes down and the starts aquiring a new connection. I spent an hour with tech support only to be told that they will submit it to engineering. I am using XP pro, a dlink 2310 router (using the wireless portion for an Xbox 360 which works flawlessly) and Bellsouth.net for my ISP. I do have a 2.4 ghz phone connected to the MJ too. I tried the same setup at my other house which has Comcast and using a Linksys BEFSR81 and I had no problem maintaining a connection. All that has to be done is make or receive a call and the network resets (I am speaking of the network icon on the taskbar) or starts aquiring a connection. This is consistent whether and voice transmission or just saying nothing is going on. Any thoughts? BTW I would like to say that this site is a wealth of information that maybe the MJ tech support should read in!

I had a problem with a Uniden 900MHz cordless phone a couple of months back where when I tried to make a call with it, magicjack would crash and restart. I replaced the cordless with a corded phone and everything works great now. This might not be the same problem as you but you might try another phone.
Well, I tried a 900 mhz phone with my MJ and that fixed that problem. Now I have a volume problem. I hear just fine but those that I am talking to say they can't hear me well. I have done the update and such to no avail. Anyone have a tweak for this problem?
Nevermind about the volume thing. I just did a search and this place has a lot of discussion about it!
