had the dreaded no audio devices found error and MJ wouldnt work after upgrade and i did not want to revert back to the old version of MJ software, i also did not want to put a sound card in the pc i am using for MJ. i did however see a referance to windows xp service pack 2 solving the problem, so i went ahead and installed SP2 and it now works great again.
just thought i would post as i see it has been a issue on this forum as well as a issue for thin cliants and stripped pc's as well as server type machines.
hope it helps some of you out.

man i owe you one for that tip.....my wife wanted to through the magicjack out with the trash. let me explain. i first installed the magicjack on my vista comp. yeah i know. but every time i would try to burn a movie or music to disc magicjack would shut down . i didnt know it was down because it would still have a dial tone . so i decided to install magicjack on an old beat up comp i built years ago that has xp. you know use it as a server kinda thing. no monitor no nothing. well everything went pretty smooth until i installed magicjack . got the no audio deal. so i came to this site and found your tip . i downloaded xp sp2 and i'm good to go now. again thanks for the tip.
A word of wisdom from some frustration I've experienced. I'm using my MJ on an older laptop in my closet. Works great, but I was intermittently getting the No audio devices error.
Turns out as I was connecting to the laptop through RDP, it was set to bring the laptop audio to my client machine. The MJ didn't like this and would crap out with the no audi devices found error. Once I changed the setting to leave the audio on the server pc, all was dandy.

English please?
Can you explain in more layman terms how to do that? I tried installing SP2 since a couple of people here said that fixed their problem, but for some reason I can't get that to work either. Guess it's time to switch computers, but I was pretty much keeping this one just for magicJack!
Sure, assuming you're using Remote Desktop (RDP) to administer the machine your magicjack is on, you want to assure the following option is set:

With that checked, your MJ won't try to use your client computer as the audio device and instead keep all audio going through the server (the machine you're connecting to) and thus won't error out.
