secure renewal?

Post by idahojoec »

Perhaps someone here can tell me what I am doing wrong. It is time for me to renew my Magicjack number. When I sign into my account and click the renew I get to the enter credit card page but it is not a secure page. (I tried both firefox and MS Explorer neither is secure) I do not want to enter my cc info if it is not a secure web page.

So i decided to try the online chat. I selected "Click here for Billing chat" a page loads that does the magic fix. I let it run it says all is okay and takes me back to the same page. I click the chat now with billing dept and runs the magic fix again. I don't have a technical problem I have a billing problem (and the problem is I can't give them money!) Any suggestions?

Sure makes me hesitant to sign up for more than one year right now. i was going to sign up for 5.

Thanks

You can also try the page where you ordered your MJ from. I don't blame you for wanting a secure page. That should be a minimum.

The Visa gift card angle won't work...Unless you have a verifiable address--which is usually not possible with most of these cards.

I'd say it's worth a try. I've known several people who use the prepaid visa cards without any problems. The worst thing that can happen is it refuses to take the payment and you have to spend your card somewhere else.

It doesn't work....I already tried. The only Gift cards that work are those that have your address on file. The ones that I've checked do not support that feature.

I don't understand why a SECURE page to change your number is not offered. You would think that they would want my $10 dollars....it's all profit too, no actual product to ship just a new area code which is probably done without any real effort, lol.
