Question about local numbers

The list of numbers shows my area code but not my city. Is it possible to get a local number from my city? When I set my MJ up, I used an area code from another state because in state long distance cost more than out of state. Thought this might be better if anybody called me.
The thing is, I would love to have a local number. It seems to me if they are in my area code, I should be able to get one from my city. Is thios possible?

I am just guessing but if your area code shows and city doesn't - lots of luck. Check with MJ customer support and see if someone there can tell you - but, then again, lots of luck.
