If you buy a used magicjack can't you get a new contract with a new email or you screwed buying a used magicjack. Person used their personel email when bought it.

I thought MJ was tied to an email address and password when first installed. I don't think there is a utility to change that or reassign a new phone number. For some, it's hard enough to get it to work in the first place.

As cheap as they are, I'd just buy a new one. If you buy the old one, just have them change their email to yours and reset the password to change the temporary one. You'd have to buy a new one, as far as I know, to get the full year or you could renew using the control panel.

Yes you can.. ( and that don't mean I support O'bomber) You can change the email address destination in the mymagicjack.com portal, then, you can re assign the jack to that persons email and they can change that email and password.. No problem.. If they are allowed one number change , then you can do that too.. Once that is all taken care of then delete the old address.. Easy..

Only a moron would want to buy a used one. I would suggest that you don't call anyone you know, else the person you stole it from may get their number!
