Reading reviews some say you need a PC to download software so it will work on a Mac, I have yet to have anyone say yes I have a Mac & it works. There is so much negative stuff out there I am confused.
I understand some features may not work at this time , that does not bother me as long as I can make & receive calls, developing software and getting the bugs out is sometimes a long process, I can live with that.
I have a Mac and Yes it works fine. The only problem, (that I figured out on my own), is that if you use an ext. drive for your "profile", MJ doesn't work. Other than that, works great.
i works on my mini, execpt no caller id on my phone (yes, on my mac) and no call waiting (it goes straight to vm). Also, some of the features that you have in Windows are not available, like call log.
I had planned on using the magic jack on my new intel Mac.I have a apple laptop ibook with OS 10.3.9, I am curious if it might work on that computer which I no longer use?
I have an older I Mac that runs off the 10.4 platform and two MacBook Pros. I charged the MJ on and older HP PC and it works fine with the computers that have either a strictly windows or the dual Mac platform. I am working the MJ with a wireless router hooked up as instructed and am using three cordless phones with the base unit. Still playing around with it to get a good reception from the downstairs HP computer. Bummer that it won't work with the I mac.
