Uh, you may be up the proverbial tributary without a method of locomotion. Seriously, what else have you done? Have you gone to the MJ site to run the MJ fix? I'm not technical, but there are others here who are. If you provide some specifics re: OS, connection type, etc., you may get some better answers.

If your having probs with error 4, try this:kelley 83 wrote:Help my magic jack wont work anymore. It loads up and I get adial tone then a message pops up telling me error code 04, what could be wrong. I tried reinstalling it but it says no device found
Go to control panel then click on Network connections. In there right click on your active Internet connection and select properties, scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click it, then click on properties. In there check the little circle that says use the following DNS Server address. In preffered DNS Address type in: 67.90.152.122, click ok, and ok. Now restart your magicJack by going to menu, advanced user, and restart, on your magicJack dialpad.
This may or may not fix your prob.....but worth a try.

A few weeks ago I got an error 400. Nothing I did would fix the issue; MJfix, reboot, reinstall, nada.
I called tech support to find out what the error meant and they couldn't tell me except they admitted they were doing some server s/w changes the same day which may have caused this error. Without doing anything else, the error corrected itself while I was at work.
Would be nice if they could provide us a list of what all these errors are and what to try to correct them. They also refused to give me this list.
So, as users, we will just have to collect these errors as they pop up and come here and post them along with what to try to correct the error.

With the thousands that are using MJ, it prob would be a PITA for them to broadcast whatever area is being affected. Just as if your cable service has probs, they don't let you know until you call them to find out why your tv or internet isn't working.
The 'live' tech support people should be informed though so when you contact them, they can tell you if they are working on their servers, etc.
