Reformating magicjack drive

When I restart my computer I get a broken storage display and have to format drive L. I plug directly into usb port because when I use the magic usb extention I can't keep magic from restarting every 30 or 40 secs cutting off all conversation. Have talked with magic reps 9 or 10 times without luck. HELP. THANKS
