Dan Borislow speaks about the upgrade

You can go to customer care for help at magicjack.com.

A couple of Notes. My point about security was that you could never get credit card info and things people really worry about.Their was ways to steal service from us,but for now, they have been eliminated. We have made huge strides in security and will keep on trying to button things up.

The beta users also received a huge upgrade the last week.It did many things and will improve the overall quality of the service.I was quite proud of this particular upgrade as it is the first large step towards an incredible upgrade in March.

We have now put out MAC last night and will get that out of Beta with the rest of the service in January.

We added many new areas to get Phone numbers from and have about 76% of the country done,We will look to get 90% finished within 100 days.

We have a couple more steps to go on International and anticipate we will get this together second week of January.

The reliability has been very good since we upgraded and added redundancy to many servers. We will continue to make large steps and hope to complete this work in January.

In March we will let you use your own devices and we will sell Phone numbers for just $3 a Year.

Things seem to be coming together pretty quickly and I appreciate the patience everybody has shown.

We have app 50,000 Jacks sold under Beta to date and the new sales are growing about 25% week to week now.

It is our goal to make this not only the most affordable service available but the very best on all fronts.

I asked in the technical support chat
David: just checked with my manager

David: do not believe we are doing that

me: so that is a fake message?

David: i believe so

me: Dan Borislow poster is fake person

David: we are not aware of that

David: where did you see it

me: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r187115 ... ~start=280

me: I read dsl reports alot http://www.dslreports.com

David: ok thanks for the info i was not aware and have that
Hard to say cause we already have seen like most support for services not everyone knows what is going on!

I sure hope they do.. sorta sucks not knowing whats going on and having to screw around in the background.. just so we can be happy..

voip is already lowpriced might not matter in a year

Now that Grand Central is around I know of 4 free VoIP services available that I can use with my ATAs. So for now I am not even going to bother with MJ until it is hacked again for use on an ATA.

laserjobs: good info. I don't think Axvoice is offering any more Free Beta.

It was a promotion offered about a month ago.

Since English must not be your native language, your sentence should read "I don't see anything about a free local plan on acanac"
In English double negatives are not used and this can be a tricky grammatical rule.

Boy, I just love when people correct other people by offering a flawed statement. Laserjobs, your message should have read: "Since English must not be your native language, your sentence should have read "I don't see anything about a free local plan on acanac"

But I am not an English major.

acanac seems like its 8.95 per month, pretty good considering unlimited us and canada - but still not as good as mj from a cost perspective - is there a catch to the 8.95? do u have to pay for a year upfront?

axvoice might be good if you got in on the beta but if you didnt - not even an option - and it wont last after a year - unless they are nice and are giving free unlimited service for life to the beta users

gizmo - gc sounds a little complicated - how do u make outgoing calls?

freephoneline.ca - whats the catch? and no ata yet..... so is it better other than the $40 buck outlay?

My point is that there are VoIP services coming up all the time that offer service for free and by using GC the phone number does not change.

With Grand Central to call out I use click to call with the address book entries. It works well for me since I have all my addresses listed in the GC address book and can easily create a new one to call out. Another plus I find is the ability to add notes and have a call log.

I want to thanks laser for the help, I checked out the places he posted. Just for me didn't see anything I liked. I agree with him free sites coming out all the time. Right now I use my gc number with stanaphone and for call out like him I use the call me button in my address book in gc, have my gc number forwarded to my stanaphone number so thats great. Will wait till magicjack goes to byob then will add them too. Thanks

in regards to voip, i love gc. i've been using it and like it a lot. but no text support... and perhaps one day they will, but i still don't want to get a data package for my cell phone just use the click to call feature... i suppose if i already had it to check e-mail on my phone or what not, then i would prob stick to it. but i'm prob going to go back to using the cell + mj with my cell no. spoofed.

I clicked on this by mistake and began to read this thread. While the international calling is complete and they have upgraded the network there is really no other features or enhancements that I can think of since this announcement. I really like the part about getting phone numbers for $3 a year and use our own devices in March.
