I am using my majicjack on a vista system. I used the Vista update and configured mj to autholaunch by adding the executable to the startup folder. Everything works great, however a shortcut is created on my otherwise clean desktop everytime I reboot. Any idea how i can stop the shortcut from reappearing?
MJ Tech Support said it can't be stopped!
Thanks for any responses

Re: MJ Launcher Desktop Shortcut
Try using Autoruns to disable/delete the magicJack cdloader (might as well delete utscsi/CVCL0 too (as those are not needed). Then disable autoruns for that drive. From now on, start the magicjack using the magicjack.exe.jeffloudcrash wrote:I am using my majicjack on a vista system. If you start your magicjack with magicjackloader.exe, magicJack will simply replace that desktop shortcut.
Note: during magicJack upgrades, you might need to run through these steps again...

Re: MJ Launcher Desktop Shortcut
Ok so I tried this, and couldn't get MJ to work at all. So re-enabled autorun those drives (FYI MJ creates two drives: a CDRom called MAGICJACK and a Removable Disk called Phone.) and reinstalled MJ. Works again like normal. By the way I didn't have CVCL0 on my system at allMagicHack wrote: Try using Autoruns to disable/delete the magicJack cdloader (might as well delete utscsi/CVCL0 too (as those are not needed).
