Works!
Woot, that's a start!
Needs work
I'm sure it does.
Im willing to help! For starters MagicWho is a Major Memory hog.
I'm afraid that is the programming language I decided to go with.
Unless memory is in short supply, the OS allocates each running application more than the minimum physical memory required for it to run. The OS commonly give applications like Word and Excel more than a 'just get by' memory allocation. It is just as generous with the memory it allocated to our .NET applications.
Windows OS - If physical memory is not in short supply, the OS will give applications more or less all the RAM memory they ask for. When demand for memory exceeds supply, the OS will take back physical RAM from an application that is not using it to give it to an application that needs it.
The splash blocks arent working
So your MagicJack keeps showing the graphic of the USB Drive on startup with the message A minute of your time for a life time of savings? If so give me the following information.
- Hit Startup
- Hit Run
- Type Msconfig
- Hit Enter
- Click Startup Tab
- Give me the Startup Item Name
- Give me the Startup Location
I would have the program lighter weight and settings should be stored in registry.
This is a matter of preference. To be up to standards I would do XML instead of registry. Nothing is easier for the user then opening a ini file in Notepad and changing True values to False or vise versa. I like having the ability to not need the GUI to change settings.
Maybe a ad remover.
I'll see what I can do.
I would have MagicWho launch MagicJack so it can maintain control easyer...
I originally had it like this. You are correct it will allow me to maintain control, especially after an upgrade just in case MagicJack changed something. I didn't go this route because I didn't want the user to be forced to use my application in order to use their MagicJack.
I would like it if it was hidden in task bar with a shortcut key
Like having the application in a system Tray? Great idea, I'll get on top of that.
Im kinda drunk so I will post more tomaro!
Great.... the fate of MagicWho? is in the hands of a whino?
