People I'm talking to hear buttons being pressed

Post by XoDiViAoX »

Hi,

Several people I've talked to keep asking me if I'm pressing buttons on the telephone when I'm talking to them threw my magicjck, does anyone else have this issue, could this be something wrong with my magicjac?

Thanks

Happens all the time; I think it may be their network (or it might be the device) .. a bit annoying. In fact, I think it even causes some of the calls to disconnect (like when calling some voicemail systems for example).

THAT is NOT funny ... I haven't kept up with laws, but I am not sure if VOIP has to adhere to Federal Wiretapping Laws -- which HAD stringent guidelines before being trampled by current post-911 paranoia in the US.
It is possible (and not that difficult) to record VOIP ... esp. w/ the cooperation of the ISP.

Now if you are the VOIP Provider AND the ISP .... hmmm.
