Not able to hear sound on cordless phone, headset works fine

Post by manishabeer »

Hi Friends,

I am relatively new user, but have 2 hours experience with MJ tech support.

I was able to make and receive call using headset on my laptop but cordless phone was deaf and dumb (no voice both ways).

support guy tested every possibility with me, but finally I was able to fix the issue at my own by DISABLING MUTE on Audio settings.

Vista OS->control panel->sound->headset->properties->level->ENABLE

The same place also helps if you face low volume on your phone.

Hope it saves others time.

Well, welcome to the world of MJ-the world of Las Vegas style telephone service. Tis a roll of the dice or a spin of the wheel each time you make or take a call. It's always kept interesting because no two calls are ever alike-You never know from one call to the next how well you will be able to hear or be heard. But hey, it keeps phone calling interesting and a challenge. I've been rollin the dice with it for nearly a year and it's still my primary phone but I do keep a pre-paid cell for emergencys or when my pc crashes.Once you get it set up right and maybe add a broadband booster you should have clear calls. Good luck and welcome to the magical world of free phone calls.
