Anyone have setup MagcJack in a Sipura 1001?
I already have the ID /password using PassWordFinder 2.2. and guess the proxy to be: proxy1.newyork.talk4free.com (since I live in New York) I changed to the IP of the same. Then set it up as line 2 and (I have GalaxyVoice on line 1). It doesn’t work.
Anyone have it working on the Sipura 1001? What are the basic/advanced settings?

I have a 3102 and MJ works fine. You need to make sure you enter your ID and password exactly (use copy/paste) as well as the authorized user which is the same as ID.uzoc2005 wrote:Anyone have setup MagcJack in a Sipura 1001?

Your SIP proxy server will be proxy01.cityname.talk4free.com:5070 - note the zero one in the proxy and SIP port number at the end.
Also, under the SIP settings you need the SIP user agent name field and change it to match your MJ user-agent which should be MagicJack/1.80.499.2 (SJ Labs) if it's the latest version.
It's the default setting of $VERSION which I realize there may be several settings that are different since the 1001 is quite old by todays VOIP standards. I updated the firmware on my 3102 which was 2 revisions behind and I noticed a few changes to default values.uzoc2005 wrote:Sorry, I'm not reading. It's under the SIP settings, thanks. Ok still not cigar.
What do you have under SIP server name?
There's a thread here somewhere about using a PAP2/2102 that might help with other settings. Basically I just changed a few things to get it to register, in this order:
Line 1 - proxy - ID - password
Didn't work until I made this change which I found reading threads here.
SIP - user agent
Some people said they had to change the Register Expires time to 1800 seconds, but it works at 3600 for me although the SIP proxy server forces 1800 anyway.
Now perhaps I should mention I'm using my 3102 ahead of my network router because my router is a bit older and does not properly support QOS for VOIP packets. With the 3102 first behind the modem I usually get decent voice quality (although never as good as my 3G cell or my friend's VOIP through a national provider. Yes this means my setup is a double NAT, but the two routers are using completely different IP ranges so it works just fine.
Right STUN is disabled for me as mine is a virgin Linksys 3102 with updated firmware from Cisco/Linksys.uzoc2005 wrote:Ok, disabling/enabling "STUN server" does not make a difference for GV or MJ. So it's something else. Can you give me a paste of your "SIP" menu settings?
Ok...I setup a temp site, go here:

Ok, no cigarro with your SIP settings.
For anyone who's reading this, please note that I am using a SIPURA 1001 version: 3.1.8(SEc) with GalaxyVoice. I can still use GV with the settings changed. Somethings are changed around some codecs are missing for me. The SIP TCP PORT MIN and MAX is missing on mines, RTP Packet SIZE is 0.03 on mines, stun enable is on for me with the GIS server (turning it off does not make an apparent difference) and NAT keep alive was 60 for me, now 15.
Too much trouble to have you paste the rest like Line 1/2?
An easier way might be using the "snipping tool" on some versions of Windows.

Codecs will be 729a and 711u only. MJ works with either for most of my calls, but a few use 729a only.uzoc2005 wrote:Ok, no cigarro with your SIP settings.

It shouldn't matter, MJ only uses 5070.The SIP TCP PORT MIN and MAX is missing on mines,
That will work fine. 0.020 or 20 ms will also work but it increases the overhead.RTP Packet SIZE is 0.03 on mines,
If you can turn it off, do so as MJ doesn't use a STUN server.stun enable is on for me with the GIS server (turning it off does not make an apparent difference)

I don't know if that matters or not.
I'll post all of the pages tomorrow for you and you can see all of the settings - except passwords, ips, etc.Too much trouble to have you paste the rest like Line 1/2?

The link was fine before, now it says I do not have "sufficient privileges".
Can you double check?
Sorry it took so long, I had a busy week and didn't get to it. But for some odd reason I can't get the home page to accept images so I created a sub-page you can try:uzoc2005 wrote:The link was fine before, now it says I do not have "sufficient privileges".

Just to make sure you have the right settings, the display name can be anything (your MJ number is fine), the User ID must be Exxxxxxxxxx01 where the "x" is your 10 digit MJ number without hyphens with "E" and "01" (zero one) pre and post-pended, and the password is a 20 character alpha-numeric string. Once you have those and the user-agent set, it should register ok.
However, I have read that some people are not able to get their MJ settings to work with an ATA. Mine works fine, but maybe I'm just lucky.
