Warning must plug magic jack into usb

My magic jack worked just fine for a few days, now i am getting an error message that says "warning must plug magic jack into USB" The thing IS plugged in, i mean really plugged in and plugged in good at the right port. but it does not, work how can i fix this error message and get my magic jack working? anything would be helpful
