For the past few months a lot of my friends mentioned that they can't get numbers at GrandCentral.com because when they go to request a Reservation, the button is temporarily absent. Apparently the [Reserve] button will appear for brief intervals, and then the service will stop taking reservations for a period of time. This is what people have told me, and I have seen frustrated stories like these posted here as well. I don't know if this is the circumstance still, I hope not, but just in case, I thought I should let people know: when I went to check my Inbox and some FAQs at the official website just minutes ago, the 'Reserve' button was there, 5:30 PM Mountain Daylight Savings time, Sunday August 31, 2008.

Now would be the time to get one, while it's still in beta and still free, I don't know if they intend to keep it free or not, but it sure has some handy features that make it useful for anyone, but MagicJack users can appreciate the features as much or more than most probably. It only takes a few seconds, all it's required is to select-and-click from the list of area codes or states where the service is available, type your name and email, and when they are able you will get an invitation by email only. It is a Google product, and I have not been spammed for giving them my email address way back whenever, I think it was late 2007 or winter of '08. I was surprised that mine didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would, a lot less time than it took for me to get an invitation from an Italian language user forum for people giving away invites for Google gmail accounts a couple or so years back. Am I the only one who had to wait what seemed an eternity to get a gmail account when the service first opened the public beta?
