Dialtone but can not call

I have a new Uniden phone. I get a dial tone. When I dial (not using 1 in front of the number dialed) I see the number on the softphone screen. Nothing happens. When I hit "send" on the screen, nothing happens. When I hit "end" on the screen, I get a new dial tone. When I call my MJ number, I see the call on the screen but I do not get a ring. I have the "no audio device found" error message. I use Windows XP. Thanks for any help. Joe

Are you using a thin-client?
Does your softphone say your phone number and "ready to call"?
