Exchange

Post by earache »

Has anybody had to send a MJ back for exchange? And how long did it take
to receive the replacement? I sent mine back over a week and a half ago
first class mail and have yet to receive a new one. Sent an email to support
and submitted the question on their web site via my account. Waiting for
a reply.

When I had problems with my first MagicJack I contacted tech support and they sent me a replacement right away. When I received it I sent the first one back.

It took me about a month to receive my replacement, because they had the wrong address on record for me! I never bothered to send the old one back, and they never asked for me to send it. If anyone would like to have it for experimentation, just ask and I'll send it to you.

Emailed support on 11/14/2007 asking if they received the MJ I sent them
for exchange. Not a peep, nada...nothing. I suppose I'm at the mercy of
whenever they feel like sending me another one.

Ummmm...yeah....ahhhh, Dan? When you're finished with those TPS reports
could you maybe, ahhhh, start paying attention to your customers? Hummm?

I used both the trouble ticket form in the user account (which it looks like it doesn't exist anymore)
as well as support (AT) magicjack.com

I have no idea what they do with it. All I know is I can't use the number I originally registered. But that's no big
deal because the number couldn't receive incoming calls in the first place and that's why it was sent back. I've read
in the forums that some other folks didn't need to send the bum jack back for a replacement. However, they did
request I send mine back, and they sent a brand new one in its place.

I'm also waiting for a replacement now 7 days. I did get an email confirming they will ship priority mail and they included a case number saying I should get it this coming week.

afaik there is not a dept. handling these issues so he would be your best bet. or the tech chat may be able to provide you with more information.
