MJ never activates when I turn-on my PC...
I am somewhat satisfied with my MJ. However, it never activates when I turn on my PC. I turn on my PC. Once it is on, I have to unplug my MJ and I wait a few seconds and plug it back in. Then the MJ loads with no problem and I am able to make calls. From what I understand the MJ is supposed to work at start-up when I turn on my PC. But it doesn't. So I have to repeat the procedure I stated above everytime. Can anyone help? If I continue doing this, eventually it will probably wear out the USB port or connection or both. Anyone have this problem?
MJ at startup
Have you tried the MJ technical support? I had the same problem and Fix it by doing this.
Please go to control panel, click folder options, click the tab named view, check View hidden files and folders, click apply, click OK, and close control panel. Go to C:>documents and settings>[your name]> Application Data> mjusbsp> in00000. Copy the file named setup and close that folder. Now click the Start button, click All Programs, right click the startup folder, and choose open all users and paste the setup file into that folder. Your magicJack will now start on bootup.

Look at what hsweiss posted maybe this will help. http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/chop ... 35-15.html Try this if you dare. Just remember to reboot before plugging MJ back in. You can even take it one more step by deleting your mjusbsp folder. This way it will be a complete new install.

Ok..Then try to press CTRL+ALT+DEL for task manager and go to processes then change any process that has to do with MJ to High. But roboot your computer first. Then reboot again. If that doesn't work then clear all the USB devices in your Device Manager and start from scratch. It might be a USB issue.

How to set priority in task manager(win xp):
ctrl + alt + del keys all at once or open run box and type taskmgr.exe. Right click on Magicjack.exe process running in the process tab. scroll to set priority and choose "high" instead of normal.
Now I would suggest opening run box and(win xp) typing "msconfig". Go to "startup" tab and scroll down and make sure MagicJack is checked as well as cdloader2.exe. This will cause the program to start up on boot. Close out of system config. If it is checked then you need to be more specific on the anti-virus and firewall your pc is running. It's possible one of them is blocking it from starting up. You most likely need to configure them to allow it.
When all else fails, open up google search engine to find answers!
