I was wondering if I could get an idea from those of you who have tried using the MJ for your faxing needs. I know that there is a disclaimer that FAX usage may not be possible or reliable. Have any of you been able to use it with a FAX. If so what brand/model of equipment and how old is it?
Thanks

After changing several settings on my Brother MFC 420 CN all-in-one printer, I was able to send excellent faxes thru my Phone Power voip phone system, but MagicJack refused to cooperate and didn't work. I can't receive faxes on either of them. My fax modem using Mighty Fax works on Phone Power but not on MagicJack. So, MJ is now just a secondary line and possibly for traveling.

I know this won't help, but I can never figure out why people insist to continue using fax technology. VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) was not designed, nor intended for faxing. Otherwise it would be called FoIP.
Sorry, it just annoys me and is a pet peeve. There are so many other options with email for attaching and exchanging documents using the Internet. Many of these options are posted elsewhere on this forum.
If you really have to fax documents because someone has a fax machine, just do a search on email-to-fax, and fax-to-email.

Both replies appreciated. The second one made me smile. Thanks
