Help with multiple Phone numbers

OK, I got my MagicJack in July and in September it stopped working. They sent me a new MagicJack. I had to register again to activate the new MJ. Now I have 2 phone numbers in my account. How do I use the original number? It is showing the new number. But I have given people the original number and do not want to go and give out another number.

I went to my www.my.magicjack.com and can see both numbers in the drop down menu. I chose the number I want, restarted MJ, but the new number is still there. Anybody got an idea?

I believe I understand your question and you may wish to verify this with tech support. When I changed the area code and number of one of my MJ's I asked when it would take effect.

Although the new number was effective almost immediately, the old number continued to call through for a month before it quit working. This is to allow you time to notify anyone who had the original number.

Not exactly your situation, so it's just a guess on my part but contrary to the experience of many folks on the forum, I have had good results with customer service/tech support.

I did not change areas. You may be right, it may take awhile before the change, but both numbers are registered to my MJ. If you think about it, I should not have had to register again. They should have been able to apply my exsisting account to the new MJ.
