Every time my PC comes out of suspend/sleep mode, magicJack does not function/start. I must reformat magicJack, run the magicJack Upgrade and re-register.
Is there some setting or work around for this issue?

Scott you using Vista? There was no real solution I found for this problem, in fact, from what I did read, MS does not want to implement a USB reset after a PC comes out of sleep.
Pulling the unit from the USB and plugging back in worked for me, but for a softer solution so I wasn't wearing out my ports, was click on the safely remove hardware button, select the MJ unit, go into properties and cancel back out. For me shortly after this I see the Vista circle of thought and everything resets, restoring the function of the phone.

Thank you, I read post after post where people suggest "Just un-plug and re-plug your MJ for things that would require sever insertions and removals a day.
I have never had the nerve to tell them they were just begging to for a port to become mechanically intermittent or totally kaput.
There is the remote possibility that you and I are just paranoid thinking that things meant to be used at modest levels will go bad if you exercise the hell out of them.
PS - most USB ports that I have seen are soldered to the mother board so if you kill a port you are just out of luck, there ain't no fix-en a port soldered to the mother board. (Soldered or whatever they use now in these "Green Times") That should give you an idea of how long it has been since I have been around a manufactuing area, a circuit board without solder (lead), that is immoral.

Here is the fix I used. It wasn't easy. I had to apply this fix, i.e. registry change on my Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H and my Gigabyte GAM55plus-SG3. One machine I couldn't figure out the port using magicjack so I did all the ports.. i believe one has 12 ports the other has eight.
But it worked on BOTH machines!!
