T5710 vrs T5720 Processor-wise

I realize that the T5720 has 2 additional usb ports but as far as CPU's doesnt the T5710 have a FASTER procerror? 1.2ghz vrs 1.0ghz. I am a BIG AMD fan but I'm not familiar with the CPU in the T5710 Thin Client. I ordered a New In the Box T5710 for $129.00 to the door, its the 1.2/512/256 model and I have a stick of PNY 512MB PC2700 sodimm that came out of my laptop when i upgraded the ram that I am going to install in the Thin Client. My MJ works flawlessly on my desktop but I want something that uses less electric, lol im getting green in my old age. My T5710 will be for MJ use ONLY. From what I have been reading it seems as tho both models are loved by all. This site ROCKS and the members seem VERY friendly and Helpful.

No need to update the RAM to 512, even. t5710 dedicated to MJ is happy at 512/256.

you may have to update the listing for the T5710 1.2GHz machines,
to reflect the two(2) possible CPU's of 8600 and 8800

The 8800's seem to work with the 1GB RAM module, and the 8600's do not

HP is going to see for sure about this, after sending a replacement board to me, under the warranty, and my 1GB RAM not working any longer.
They'll look up the serial # on my original board and see if it had an 8800 CPU,
if not, they'll see why the 1GB RAM isn't working now, if the one I had before was the 8600 and worked.

I'm pretty sure I saw 8800 in the BIOS info, and I've seen T5710's being sold with 8800 CPU's

As shown, in the link above, they're called the py706AA and have 512/512 ...
my original board must have been originally a py706AA, down-graded from 512/512 to 512/256

we'll see what happens.
