Of course, I'd love to have a spiffy new Intel MacPro, but until then, $20 per year for phone calls is a great deal... which means I'm forced to use a different soft phone than the 'official' sjphone/MagicJack.

I configured X-lite and have it working, but I don't want to raise any flags and get my account shut down. I've read how users with ATA setups put a software version flag. Do I need to do something like this with x-lite? (Couldn't see any built-in options to do this).

Thx for any advice!!

You'd probably want to set the User-Agent string within your softphone to:
Code:
User-Agent: MagicJack/1.80.451b (SJ Labs)

I am not sure if x-lite lets you configure this though. You might just need to modify the xlite exe by hand (by using a hex editor for example).

Using a softphone other than the magicJack one would violate the magicJack Terms of Service, so this information is for educational purposes only.
