2nd year for $19.95
Maybe if all the Beta customers would go ahead and sign up for the second year, MJ would have additional funding for
bugs and features. The price is right!

ROFL....But I think their ads are gonna be comming out soon to make them A LOT of money....So they won't be worrying about money any time soon....My question is will these ads be in my calls or just the soft phone. I've always been under the impression it was going to be ads on the softphone and that's why they don't want people using their own ATA devices, which makes sense as they need to generate income.kumar wrote:My question is will these ads be in my calls or just the soft phone.
That's why the upgrades to change and encrypt the s.i.p. passw0rds. So to everyone out there who might be interested in trying to figure out your encrypted p@ssword - if you do, keep it to yourself and god forbid don't post it anywhere!
No one wants them to start putting the ads into the phone calls themselves!
That's why I think they may eventually allow people to use external devices but at a higher cost per year. Because eventually people are going to figure it out, and having the ads in the phonecalls would cause them to lose some business, but if it makes it free than hmmm maybe it's not a bad idea. Unlimited long distance, but everytime I place a long distance call I have to listen to a 30 sec ad - it'll sucks but free is free. Now if incoming calls had to listen - that's not right. Also not right if someone is trying to call 911!!!

I suspect if you read the TOS you will see that they (MagicJack) hold all the cards.
I agree with all the comments here. Nobody wants to deal with audio ads, and if ads are popping up everywhere, it is going to be a distraction that some folks will not tolerate. It probably will be a balancing act to find out what users will tolerate.
Right now we seem to be a tolerant group, given all the technical bugs, issues with customer service, and technical support.
That makes for some good guinea pigs.

I bet some of the political candidates could use some of the mj ad budget, lol
PS If the Audio Ad is more than "This Call is being connected by Level3 Communications" (3 secs, now in GrandCentral Call button) then it WILL be a problem. And I doubt they will be able to have that on a 911 call.
