High CPU usage with magic jack

I am getting very bad sound quality with my MJ. Spent this evening trying everything I could find and nothing seems to help. The one thing I noticed was that whenever I call out on MJ, my SYSTEM task CPU usage spikes to around 50%, then goes right back to 0% as soon as I hang up. Is this normal behavior? BTW, MJ process is about 10% during this time.

Upon reading your post, I looked at my cpu and it was 7 %. I then made a call and when it connected it went up to 10 percent.

Krojm is running at 98% CPU - when you find an answer to lower yours, let krojm know, too!
