Hope I don't jinx myself....
I hesitate to post this cuz I may end up jinxing myself, but my MagicJack has been running great for about two weeks now. Before that, it would croak a couple of times a day or the sound quality would be choppy/terrible. It was next to unusable and my wife was getting irritated with me. But for now at least, it's running like a champ and I hope that it stays that way. I'm using area code 202 (Washington DC), the spoofer and Tigerjet's echo cancellation utility. I also shutdown MJ at night and force the PC into standby each night. I don't know if that's contributing to my stretch of good luck or not.

I always let my computer shut down before I unplug the MagicJack. I also unplug it whenever I shut down, and then I do not plug the MJ dongle back in until the computer has fully rebooted and the startup menu has done its thing.
Very few problems, except for sound quality if I am online and have lots of programs running, or windows opens. I just try to minimize everything, or shut down programs, if I plan to be on a call.
