I ‘m delighted to discover this Forum. Over the Holiday weekend I purchased an MJ from Radio Shack. Any Pointers that you could share with me prior to install would be wonderful. I just want to be certain of any Tips or Tricks I should know of prior to set up

New Install

Many different options. I've used mine on a Vista, XP, and now a Thin Client machine. So far the TC is the best performance. If you have a problem after you finish the install and register for a phone number use the search function on this forum as I'm sure someone has had the problem before. Good luck.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve read where some people were disappointed that they down loaded an upgrade. My challenge is that where I live MJ does not have local Phone numbers. So I have to choose a number that is not in my local dialing prefix. With that being said I can no opt out for this & solely use this for an out bound service where I can manipulate my CID of my choice. I read where folks have used the * 67 feature yet some have had issues with it working as well. As much as I want to dive in, I feel having a plan is in my best interest.
Thanx again

tazz,
when you dial *67 from a magicjack it will not block your phone number. I believe it will just route your call differently.
There is a program called private caller that was just made by zmaddmattz. This will block your phone number, but you will need to initiate calls from your computer
