MJ and windows home server

I am running a windows home server network. I would like to plug the magic jack into the server itself because it is the only computer that stays on 24/7. When I moved the MJ over to the server, it stopped recognizing the telephone. I have the phone plugged in but I cannot select it in the software. Any thoughts?

I thought the Dec. upgrade might have got me in trouble but when I switched it back to my XP box everything worked fine.

Maybe the other box's USB ports aren't powered the same? Maybe not enough power to even recognize the phone? MJ's USB device requires a lot of power. Some say the recent upgrade made it worse. You could try a different phone and/or a powered USB hub. MJ users have recommended this one:
