What I Like About You-NOT!

Post by Fukbin »

The product is unreliable (like Microsoft Windows 95); works some of the time. Requires a lot of time fixing bugs-this product WAS not ready for market. Still isn’t.

Dan Borislow, founder, is a great marketer, and not an inventor. He is a coward. YMAX doesn’t list their address or phone number anywhere on the web; like they have something to hide. You can try emailing [email protected]. I did. An excerpt is found below:

Here are my suggestions:

1) Post complete installation instructions on your site (including all of the modifications to the computer settings including firewall issues, changing settings, adding the site to “safe sites”, using a physical phone vs. a soft phone (and a few more than I have since forgotten), greatly enhance your FAQs, to reduce the need to go to “Live Support”
2) If you produce a defective product, replace it and pay for the return shipping
3) Run your company like a legitimate utility company such as AT&T
4) Make improvements to your product’s reliability (cannot always make or receive calls even after major SP "Upgrade last week)
5) Increase your “soft phone ads”, generate more revenue, and spend a portion of it on product/service improvements
6) Provide complete contact information including a phone number and location
7) Offer your product as “OEM”, which will eliminate a majority of the technical set-up issues, including a std. “phone jack” output on the card.

**Heard on the Street that Alaska gave MJ the boot--if so, is CA next?**

As an extra phone or for the very financially challenged it is OK. As a replacement for MA BELL, well let’s just say if I were SBC or AT&T I wouldn’t exactly be considering cutting my dividend or laying-off staff just yet.

I have over ten hours and $6 into my 2 jacks, and they are now working 80% of the time. I wish you better luck.

FukBin-Magic Jack made me love Ma Bell.
