Other person hears echo

Post by supernet »

When talking on the phone, the other person hears an echo of them self...

Anyone have or know how to fix this issue?

have you tried the echo cancellation utility yet? It's called "TJNet line echo canceller". I don't have the link handy but I'm sure a quick google search should turn it up

I had that problem too until I turned down the speaker volume in the speaker/microphone control panel. Now, it doesn't feed back into itself and works just fine.

Good point! MJ works best with either a headphone mic setup or an actual phone. Desktop speakers & a mic is going to introduce echo easily.

Agreed. A Headset (with Volume Control) seems to be Best.

In general the MJ audio seems to be quite "loud" compared to other phones. The Volume Control, whether hardware or software will be your friend.

I had the same issue both the caller and myself could here the echo. But before you go putting more software on your pc try to see if your soundcard settings come with its own type of noise suppression or other type of noise cancelation feature you also will have to lower your mic and speaker levels under MJ's menu button try playing around with these options if all fails then download extra software it worked for me,no more echo for about a week straight, so far so good. :P

Gotta say one thing -- MJ's would be GREAT for the hearing impaired -- I am NOT trying to be funny.

The volume can be THAT loud.
