I installed a program called OrkAudio this morning on my XP desktop where I have my magicjack hooked to. The program automatically records all incoming and outgoing VOIP. It seems to be working fine.
I would have preferred something where you just click an icon or something to start recording in case you have some reason to record a call rather than record EVERYTHING. However, maybe that's not a bad idea after all. It runs in the background and is completely transparent and it does not seem to be causing any problems.
I guess I'd better let my wife know it's there and how to erase the recordings. I'd hate to find out something I didn't want to know!

From what I can read in the link it runs as a service, meaning you can activate/de activate this by command line in your <Start Menu> select <run> and type;
- to deactivate, use:
net stop orkaudio
- to activate, use:
net start orkaudio
If you prefer you can create some .bat files to do this for you. As it is set by default it starts with windows, but you can change the the service from "automatic" to "disabled" in the services manager.

From the webpage, it looks like it records from a soundcard. Since the MJ is seen in the device manager as a sound device it makes sense that it will work.marinemaster wrote:Does it record from the SIP or soundcard?
For recording calls, I use a free program called Cain. Its a little more setup, but it works nicely.

It uses winpcap, as do wireshark, "capturing of neworking packets".
