Can not renew MJ for a year

Post by cmankat »

I received two things from MJ when I signed on today to use it. First it told me I was :lucky" that it was downloading the latest fix. The last time this happened things got flaky not better :( . This time it may have helped and didn't hurt that I am aware of. After being lucky, MJ reloaded and came up normally. In the left hand window they told me that my subscription would expire soon, click here to renew. That's when things got cute. I have three options on the screen that comes up:

1. Order the $39.95 MJ hardware and software package which I already have

2. Order the $59.95 Platinum package which I do not want.

3.Order the $99.90 hardware and 5 year plan which I also do not want.

Nowhere can I find a way to do the 1 year renewal they offered in the left hand panel. Perhaps this is their way to get me to do the $59.95 plan.

Has anyone else encountered problems when trying to renew for a year?

TIA,

Cmankat

When you click on "MY" on your softphone it should take you to your account. Just enter the info ( Email and Password). Then click My.Magicjack. From there you should see where to add a year to your account ( extend your License next to Account Info)
At least it was there for me.

Hope this helps

PT Barnum (Dan) doesn't make it easy. Over the past month, when you go to my.magicjack.com you get a bunch of gaudy "come ons". You have to scroll down and look for a pastel gray button to proceed to your account portal.

You're right that once you navigate the carnival barker, there's an option to "extend my account by 1 year."

Next week he ( Dan) will make the link the same as the background color so it will be even more of an Easter Egg Hunt :)

Can you tell us your softphone version? [1] A few days ago Saxman said an upgrade is coming. I'm curious if you're the first person to report it.

I forgot to close the loop. Sorry. I actually got help from support. The lady suggested I try using IE instead of Firefox and that did the trick. I got my one more year.

Kept getting a pop up saying my URL couldn't be found and was unable to click on any of the options in my menu. You can renew your subscription by going to my.magicjack.com and scroll down to the bottom to my.magicjack.com to open your account to get to your subscription renewel.
