WHY WONT MY MAGICJACK WORK WELL WITH MY CORDLESS PHONE SYSTEM. IT IS A UNIDEN 5.8

Have you tried using a different phone? Was the quality different? The quality of the phone cord seems to affect the MJ also. I can hear static when I plug in the cheap short cord that came with my fax but plugging in a better quality 25' cord has no static on the attached phone.

Have you tried disconnecting the phone and using the softphone with a headset to see if there is any difference in sound quality?

Do you connect to your router using wireless? If so, you should try connecting with a wire to determine if the cordless phone interferes with your wireless connection.

The next step of diagnosis is to try using a powered USB hub.

You may have to better describe the call quality. Is it choppy voice? Or, static? Low volume?
