MJ on Express Gate.

My computer is built with a ASUS motherboard. It comes with a feature called Express Gate which gives you access to the internet without booting to the hard drive. Is there any possible way to run MJ from here and bypass the need for a harddrive and OS and eliminating the wear and tear of a always on system, thusly running from a environment with no moving parts. Or is anyone found a way to run straight off the modem, eliminating the need for a computer. There is a phone with the same basic abilities as MJ that does, here http://www.ooma.com/. It they can do it then why not MJ.

The ooma box is at least 10 times as big as an MJ dongle and most likely has a complete microprocessor system inside it. The MJ relies on the computer that it is connected to for it's processing power.

Ooma is susceptible to eavesdropping. Plus the whole nature of the P2P network is a bad idea in my opinion.

ooma no longer employs that connection model. The users that keep a land line (makes no sense - the whole point is to dump the expensive land line) are not subject to usage by other ooma users.
