Trying... Ringing.... Disconnecting...

Post by coryj »

Hello,

I have been searching the forums for a possible answer. I am sure it is related to the fact that I am trying to use my MJ on Windows Server 2008 (x64). The software installed just fine. If I make a call to my cell phone, It says "Trying" for 7 seconds. At 8 seconds, it says "Ringing" briefly and then goes right back to "Ready to call". On my cell phone, I see a missed call from the number, but it doesn't even connect long enough to ring once.

If I call the MJ from my cell phone, it doesn't ring at all and doesn't show up in MJ.

I've been searching around and can't figure it out. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have the same problem occasionally. I am using too many programs when this happens. If I close down a couple, MJ works fine. I think I am over loading the computer capacity/memory or what ever.

I don't think that is the issue for me. It is a q9300, 4GB RAM

Does anyone have it working successfully on Server 2008 (x64)? I am still unable to use my magicjack on this machine

Unfortunately, I am running into a similar issue. I also have 2K8 x64 server. I am running an AMD X2 5200+ processor with 8 GB of RAM. I normally have 3 virtual machines running via Hyper-V, but even turning them off I get the same issue, only I get about 2 seconds of trying, then it disconnects. Incoming calls show as red with an "x". If I remove MJ from the machine, I can make calls for anywhere from 5-10 minutes and then it fails. Eventually, I lose my dial tone.
