Incoming calls are choppy out going is great

Anyone have an idea, im running mj as a service, latest update, stand alone computor. Also set up on router with port forwarding.

I am having the same problem. Incoming calls are very choppy when listening to people on other end. They can hear me fine but I cannot hear them well at all. When I call them everything is ok. If some one has any ideas please let me know. This is very annoying.

There's a lengthy how-to for diagnosing choppy voice on the wiki. You two could start there.

If it were me, I would start with the "proxy find" how-to and see which vms server is used for placing an outbound call, and which is used when receiving an inbound call.

I've seen in the past that inbound calls can come in from a vms server in a different region (local to the originator of the call). If that's happening to you, it may explain the difference in quality between inbound and outbound. The vms server for the inbound call may be in a region that is having poor quality generally (recently that's been just about every region).

You'll have to put some effort into understanding how to use the "proxy find" how-to, and how to locate an individual call in the pmdump results (and locate and interpret the proxy/vms IP addresses).
