Dont get mad if this has been answered.
I just got the magicjack and I am having issues with the computer not going in standby mode. I tried the magicblock download nothing downloaded. I dont have time to read through all the threads. I also dont even understand a lot of what people are even talking about.

magicJack intentionally disables the standby mode. (If your computer were in standby, you would not be able to receive calls.) So, what you are describing is as per their design.
