YES! I just received and installed my MJ last night and setup my voice mail, but today it isn't working - it acts exactly as you describe! It rings for awhile and finally gives up - voicemail message never answers.

I've been screwing around for the past hour trying to figure out what I did wrong. Now I realize that it's probably nothing I did...

Thanks :-)

The MJ is still in beta, and within the last few days we have seen features coming on line. I would expect to see continued glitches with features as they work the kinks out.

Maybe we should report MJ connection issue with geographical data to see if someone else in the same area experiences the same issue.

MJ service is still alive & kickin' in the Seattle area

Sorry 'bout that - Central Penna.

I originally tried to post a longer message, but when I submitted it I just got Error 500, and it didn't post.

Yes, I occasionally get error 500 when posting also. I already sent the admin asking about error 500. Probably a forum sw server error or timeout.

It wasn't working for me this afternoon either in the (630) area code.

I spoke to tech support and they said they were working on voicemail issues and that they should be fixed within an hour. I haven't tested it again since.

Down again....more often than not

Post by Charles7Strod »

720 area code and once again VM is hit or miss. Out of 5 tried one went through, two busy signals and two with nothing but dead air. Waiting on "live chat" now......more like sleeping chat than live chat. We will see how long I have to wait to let them know that the service is in the gutter once again.

Personally, MJ is now just a toy for me. I can't even take it seriously anymore. It's a great idea that has become worse with time. In the early beta stages it was 10x better than now......

Acting funny in (630) Chicago this morning also but I just went 6 for 6 successful.

I've noticed that sometimes after the fourth ring, when it goes silent and you think it didn't work... sometimes as much as 8-10 seconds later you will then hear the voicemail recording (but how many people will wait that long?). I tried again and it picked up immediately within 1 second after the fourth ring.

I'm hopeful that this is all because they are working on it. We've seen progress on the VMAIL button in just the past 24 hours as I posted in the Features forum.
