First inbound call does not connect. using FIOS router

Since moving to Verizon FIOS. The first inbound call comes through, but no connection, for either the caller or reciever.

Any clues? Subsequent calls come through fine, this only happens after a period of inactivity.

If you can access the settings of the router, check if NAT is enabled, if not activate it.
