receive hmtl error 500 when posting (or editing old post)

Post by LikeMagic »

For the past few days, I've encountered html error 500 when posting a new post or editing my own existing post. Usually, when I press Preview or Submit, I receive "500" on a blank page. Here is what hmtl error 500 means:

Internal Error 500

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

I've received that in my "VOIP Alternative" thread -- I was told it was because I passed a 500 character limit in the OP. That may explain editing the old post.

It doesn't explain trying to make a new Post though. :(

Not so. I receive error 500 mostly when replying/posting with an URL. Also receiving this error when just clicking on the post to read. Very annoying at times.

I've had the same problem since last night. If you click on the forum homepage at the bottom of this page you will see a forum for the forums. People there have been complaining about it for a few days. Someone in one of the forums said that by changing their password through the lost password link they were able to post again. I tried it and it seems to have worked.
